PICC 102: Save That PICC – Management of Complications
This 3-hour session will discuss evidence-based management of potential problems and complications relating to the placement of PICC’s and midlines. Content includes a PICC complication (midline complication) review; what to do with malpositioned PICC catheters; how to properly clear occluded PICC catheters; and thru-the-cannula or over wire PICC exchanges. A post test will be given to assess learning.
A minimum of 1-year venous access experience and PICC 101 (or an approved equivalent).
Who May Attend:
RN’s, ARNP’s, Radiologists, Radiology Techs/Assistants, Physicians and Physician Assistants
NOTE: The practice of PICC Insertion must be performed according to an individual’s State scope of practice for their discipline and/or level of licensure. It is the responsibility of each participant to maintain his or her level of proficiency on an annual basis.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to anyone who successfully completes this program, though Contact Hours are only approved for RN’s through Florida Board of Nursing provider # 50-998.

Due to limitations from our academic partner and clinical site, we are only able to allow RN’s & ARNP’s to attend our PICC Clinicals. Must be licensed for a minimum of 1 year and have venous access experience.
