PICC 101: PICC-Midline Education
This class comprehensively reviews all of the aspects of practice related to PICC insertion, as well as peripheral midline placement. Content includes patient selection and indications for PICC placement (midline placement); anatomy and physiology; PICC insertion (midline insertion) techniques; PICC/midline site care and device maintenance; and PICC insertion (midline insertion) related complications. A post test will be given to assess learning.
A minimum of 1-year venous access experience.
Who May Attend:
RN’s, ARNP’s, Radiologists, Radiology Techs/Assistants, Physicians and Physician Assistants
NOTE: The practice of PICC Insertion must be performed according to an individual’s State scope of practice for their discipline and/or level of licensure. It is the responsibility of each participant to maintain his or her level of proficiency on an annual basis.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to anyone who successfully completes this program, though Contact Hours are only approved for RN’s through Florida Board of Nursing provider # 50-998.

Due to limitations from our academic partner and clinical site, we are only able to allow RN’s & ARNP’s to attend our PICC Clinicals. Must be licensed for a minimum of 1 year and have venous access experience.
