Kay is an internationally recognized infusion therapy clinician
who has practiced nursing for 34 years, with a special focus
on infusion for the past 24 years. As a cofounder and the executive
director of Infusion Knowledge, Inc., she focuses on quality
improvement programs, CRNI Review, I.V. Therapy (general &
advanced), Pain Management, and Medical Errors Reduction Programs.
Kay is a practicing clinician and professional nurse consultant
who is qualified as an expert witness on clinical infusion therapy
nursing matters.
As an Infusion Knowledge, Inc. Instructor, she focuses on CRNI
Review, I.V. Therapy Education, facility and home-based Pain
Management, and Quality Improvement. She is a professional nurse
consultant who is qualified as an expert witness on clinical
nursing matters. As instructor, Kay has educated nursing staff
in the importance of I.V. Therapy, Medical Errors and Pain Management.
Her background includes acute care, long-term care, and home
infusion. She earned her infusion certification in 1987 and
has presented numerous seminars to healthcare professionals
in the classroom and continuing education settings. Her reputation,
as a quality infusion therapy educator, is well known on the
local, state, national and international level. She is a personable
and experienced facilitator.
Publications of her work have appeared in the Journal of
Intravenous Nursing, Home Infusion Therapy Magazine, INS Newsline,
and Vital Signs. Kay has also contributed to books on I.V.
techniques and is considered an expert in her field.
