Our I.V. Therapy Education Self Study Program (quite often referred to as I.V. Certification) is designed to provide Nurses and Post-Graduate Nursing Students with a basic knowledge of I.V. Therapy Practice. It meets the Florida Board of Nursing LPN requirement for 30-hours of I.V. Therapy Education. RN's are also encouraged to complete the program as a refresher; or as a primer for new RN's.

This program has been made available in "self study format" for nurses who cannot find a class in their area; or are unable to take 4 days off work to attend a live class. The audio portion of the program is an actual live recording of our I.V. Therapy Education Course presented by Kay Coulter, CRNI.

Course content includes current standards of practice, a venous access device review, venipuncture techniques, I.V. medication administration and fluid management, a review of nutritional solutions, management of difficult I.V. insertions, legal aspects and vascular access protocols.

This self study program meets the 30-hour I.V. therapy education rule required by the Florida Board of Nursing for LPN's practicing I.V. Therapy in the State of Florida.

Self Study Program Includes...

When a nurse purchases our I.V. Therapy Self Study Program (for individual users) you will receive a Audio CD Set; a DVD (of a live peripheral catheter insertion demonstration); and a Workbook. Upon successful completion of the Post Test, a Certificate of Completion (reflecting 30 contact hours) will be issued to the individual nurse who purchased the program.

Note: The Audio is available in 2 different formats: a Audio CD Set (17 CD's) or a Audio MP3 CD Set (2 CD's).
