Certificate of Peripheral Venipuncture Education

This 8-hour comprehensive review was designed to prepare healthcare providers in ANY patient care setting with venipuncture techniques for blood draws and catheter placements.

Content includes a review of vascular anatomy and physiology, infection control & aseptic technique, venipuncture devices and procedure, I.V. catheter insertion techniques, complications, and care and maintenance.

Participants will also have opportunity for hands-on thru simulated practice. This course is appropriate for both licensed and unlicensed personnel who are required to perform venipuncture procedures. Nursing students are welcome!
