Will this class make me “I.V. Certified”?
The term “certification” is generally defined as: verification that a healthcare provider has knowledge in a specialty based on predetermined standards of practice. The knowledge base is assessed most frequently by successful performance on a qualifying exam available from various national nursing organizations. The credentialing or certifying exam for Infusion Therapy is available thru the Infusion Nurses Credentialing Corporation (INCC). To find out more information about the exam and I.V. Certification log on to www.ins1.org and choose “certification” from the options.
How will this program benefit me? This program provides comprehensive education related to current I.V. practice. Participants who successfully complete this program receive a Certificate of I.V. Therapy Practice and often become the “I.V. Therapy Resource” for their unit or facility.
